The "Alliance" has every right to raise issues about the contract and the welfare fund -- but not if it refuses to participate in Delegate Assembly and chapter deliberations and now debates across the CUNY spectrum about these very issues. What is the record of engagement of "Alliance" candidates with the work of the union?
As of Monday night, March 20th, the "Alliance's" website acknowledged that it had committed to three debates between now and the election -- none at senior colleges* or at Kingborough CC, a chapter which Rina Yarmish (the "Alliance" candidate for President) chairs.
